Our Brand Story
Founded in the sunny microclimate of South Beach, San Francisco, Fortuney first developed the concept of Preference Talent Group during her experience leading Influencer Marketing campaigns and interfacing with global brands for a San Francisco Martech (Marketing Technology) company.
Through this experience, Fortuney quickly learned that this industry, like most, defaults to devaluing and underrepresenting people of color in general, and more specifically, black women and other women of color.
After personally facing inequities in the workplace, and witnessing misrepresentation for Black and Brown talent on marketing campaigns, Fortuney left her corporate role and launched Preference Talent Group. Fast forward 3 years – PTG has had amazing opportunities to represent a well-rounded roster of talented women and build close working relationships with global partners such as Nikon, AT&T, and L’Oreal. We continue to fulfill OUR MISSION of advocating and equipping PTG Talent for industry success while building towards OUR VISION of being the go-to digital talent management firm for women of color.
